Girls 6th Grade Plays Tough Against Hill

The 6th Grade girls had their second game against Hill yesterday ending in a 22-6 loss. Hill’s tenacious #20 proved too much for Powhatan’s defense scoring 10 of Hill’s 22 points. The Lady Chiefs attempted a new defense this game using a ½ court trap which was executed very well considering the little time they had to perfect it. Kaylin Peete played a very aggressive game both on defense and offense. Annika Hedlund was able to use her height to gain numerous rebounds and put up 4 points. Haley Burke scored 2 points for the Lady Chiefs. The 6th Grade plays their last game of the season at LCDS, Thursday February 5th @ 3pm.
